Nowadays many people suffer from different types of sleeping disorders as insomnia, too early wakening in the morning etc.
Researchers found that fruity drink can make you sleep like baby and don’t get up too early in the morning. Study shows that if you drink three cups of cherry juice during the day you will be able to sleep 39 minutes more – 24 minutes more sleep and 14 relaxing in bed.
Participants were also asked to avoid different foods, containing or influence melatonin – antioxidant which regulates or sleep cycle.
Participants were given two cups of cherry juice during the day for 7 days and one cup before doing to bed.
Then researchers examined sleeping habits of the group through actigraphs and questionnaires. Also participants gave urine sample for measuring melatonin in their bodies.
The result was longer and better sleep in 20 of the participants. Researchers believe that the reason is in melatonin in the cherries.
This is good news as it is better to use natural ways to have better sleep than using sleeping pills which have many side effects and can lead to other health problems.
