Appearance of ocular herpes is possible, writes famous medical journal and it adds that that infection can be transferred easily – by touching the infectious person’s skin, by using the same face towel and etc. The appearance of such an infection of the lips may not be that dangerous, but if the herpes spreads to the eyes, there is a risk of different implications.

Watering and pain are some of the ocular herpes symptoms

In big amount of the cases of virus herpes from 1st type there are injuries of the cornea, and in some rare cases – over the conjunctiva and the inside eye membrane. The risk is hiding mostly in this that, just like all other intracellular parasites, the herpes virus is able to take over newer and newer cells and to reproduce itself many times. If the disease isn’t caught at early stage of its development, the consequent influence is extremely hard.

The place, through which the virus has entered, turns into wound called “creeping ulcer of the cornea”. Exactly from there different bacteria penetrate in the body and provoke a bacterial infection later, worsening the infectious person’s condition.

The main symptoms, which indicate presence of ocular herpes, are watering, pain, and in some cases even photophobia.

Like all other viruses, this also activates when the immune protection of the organism is lowered.
