Bones need care as well as our skin and other organs.

Bones make up one of the most important systems in our bodies and need certain substances to be strong. See in which foods and drinks you will not find these substances. Most foods and drinks harmful to bones contain substances that interfere with proper absorption of calcium from the body. Calcium is one of the most important minerals to keep our bones strong and prevents us from bone diseases. And even if you are young and far away from such problems it is not bad to think about what harm your bones.

spinach and beans

Spinach and beans do no good to your bones!

Alcohol
Moderate alcohol consumption leads to less liver problems and will give you stronger bones. Excess alcohol leads to reduced bone density, increased risk of fractures and injuries. Experts recommend not drinking more than two drinks a day to escape from problems with bones.

Spinach
Are you surprised! It is true that spinach contains calcium which is good for bones, but contains too much oxalate. Oxalate block the absorption of calcium from the body. If you do not want to opt out of spinach, it is better to combine with cheese. Cheese helps absorption of calcium and strengthens bones.

Legumes
Like spinach legumes are extremely useful food, but not for the bones. Substances called phytates also prevents the absorption of calcium. In order not to deny the beneficial legumes can soak them in water for several hours before you cook them, so will reduce the level of phytates. Beans are rich in magnesium and fiber, which in turn protect from osteoporosis.

Carbonated beverages
Daily consumption of carbonated beverages reduces bone density, and this inevitably leads to problems with bones. In addition, soft drinks contain substances that interfere with absorption of calcium from the body. Instead, drink pure water with lemon or freshly squeezed fruit juices and tea.

Salty foods
It is well known that excessive salt consumption is harmful to the body. This also applies to the strength of your bones. Sodium in salt prevents calcium to achieve its objective, namely to protect bones. So experts recommend reducing the consumption of salt and accepting the recommended 1,200 milligrams of calcium per day for healthy bones.
