Dance therapy is a method that scientists from the University of Missouri offered for coping. After 40 years of age with dance classes are highly recommended, they say, referring to the easiest variations of classical choreography. It is important that these movements train the functions of the body, providing good balance. Dancing maintain balance between the muscles, nerves and brain. Regular minutes of dancing significantly reduced risk of falls in the elderly, regardless of when they started practicing.
It is known that a fall in older people usually leads to fractures, bedsores, difficult recovery. Doctors say that bone density at dance practitioners increases, and the gait becomes more confident and resilient.
Arthritis or jogging?
Many years doctors did not reach consensus for jogging and other active physical exercise. They say it is good for the cardiovascular system, but loads of bones and joints can cause injuries. Many orthopedists say that by running in older people develop arthritis.
Team of American doctors from Stanford rheumatologists undertook to clarify experimentally how things are. For 21 years they observed several volunteers aged over 50 years. Among them were active fond of jogging, and prefer to move as less as possible. Every year they fill out special questionnaires and passed rigorous examinations.

The results showed that all tested parameters runners are healthier. Mortality in these was 15% and between those who move less- 37%.
