How can you know that you have a migraine
Migraine usually attacks women. From the nearly 30 million Americans that are suffering from the severe headaches, the women are three times more than the men.
Migraine is a chronic headache that appears periodically. Each time the pain is felt in the same place, in one or both hemispheres of the brain temples throb, often accompanied by nausea, sometimes with vomiting. Light and noise became unbearable.
Here is how you can indicate that you are having a migraine.
Eye pain
The pain, caused by the migraines is often felt behind the eye. Many people will think it is because of the eye strain but this is not the case and ophthalmologist won’t help you deal with the pain.
Frequent urination
If you feel that you need to visit the toilet more often than the usual, it means that soon the headaches will start. Actually frequent urination is a very common symptom but very few people acknowledge it as such. The pain could start couple of hours after the often visits to the restroom start.
Yawning
If you start yawning and you are not sleepy or you know that you have slept enough this night, it means that the headaches are preparing to strike. About 36 per cent of patients with migraines yawn before the headaches start.
Vomiting or nausea
73 per cent of migraine patients experience nausea and 29 per cent vomit during a migraine seizure, report from Health. The patients with nausea have more problems relieving the pain with drugs than the patients who don’t have this symptom.
Having trouble with speaking is another sign that you are close to the painful headaches.
“A lot of people with migraines will feel like they’re blithering,” Dr. Messina says. “It’s a common description by patients”, quote from Health.
