6-year-old Isla Franks has such severe allergies that even a kiss could be deadly for her.
Little Isla gets so severe bouts of allergies that she is forced to be wrapped in bandages from the neck down for 24 hours a day. All this mummification is needed only in order to protect her hypersensitive skin.
If something that Isla is allergic to, just lightly touches her skin, an awful rash will appear. And rashes are very painful for her, says Mrs Franks, the mother of Isla. Her condition was so severe that she had to be rushed to hospital after her younger sister kissed her two hours after drinking a glass of milk.
Isla’s parents have to keep her clothes in the freezer instead of wardrobe because the little girl gets terribly severe reactions to dust mites. She has a special cupboard for food in order to avoid any chance of the food to interact with something else, report from Dailymail.
Isla was diagnosed with extreme allergies to eggs, milk, wheat, grass and dirt when she was only six months. And the only solution which helps to protect the skin of the girl is to be wrapped in bandages.
Recently another allergy was added to the long and endless list. Isla had an allergic reaction after standing near to a fellow student who had a cat at home.
We can not do things that other normal families do – even something as normal as going out for a dinner can be deadly for Isla, says Isla’s mother Katy.
