Scientists have proved scientifically that the fruit relieves the muscle pain

The muscle soreness is actually the breakdown of muscle fibers that causes the release of muscle cell contents
After a hard workout you may feel satisfied, but on the next morning, when stiffness and muscle soreness occurs, you often regret that you have overloaded your body. The muscle soreness is actually the breakdown of muscle fibers that causes the release of muscle cell contents. The contents of cells are “attracting” inflammatory cells that release chemicals that irritate nerves and cause pain.
Blackcurrant has long been proven as a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants. Besides being a refreshing fruit, it has proven also as a very strong immunostimulant. Among its many features it is believed that the fruit helps for reducing the risk of heart disease, arthritis, kidney and lung diseases, and also improving the functioning of the circulatory system.
Scientists have found that the properties stated above are not the only one. Blackcurrant juice can relieve fever and muscle. Researchers from New Zealand conducted a study with 10 participants from different age groups. Within three weeks, the volunteers took one pill with blackcurrant extract each time they exercised, and after they finished their trainings. One tablet was equivalent to about 30 – 60 grams of blackcurrant. Once completed the three weeks, researchers found for sure its positive effect on muscle pain.
Experts believe that the healing properties of blackcurrant are due to its high content of flavonoids. Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants and help muscles recover faster after over exercising.
