Hookworm disease is caused by parasitic roundworm know as hookworm. Hookworm eggs are passed in human feces onto the ground where they develop into infective larvae. The larvae crawl to the nearest moist area when the soil is cool and then extend their bodies into the air. The larvae stay in soil while waiting for contact with human skin usually when you step on the ground with bear feet. Penetrating your skin the hookworm may cause allergic reaction. Intestinal worms and parasites reside in the gastrointestinal tract. There are two main categories of intestinal worms and they are protozoa and helminthes.
