The electronic cigarette reproduces the exact sensations and the exact form of a classic cigarette. In the interior of the product it can be found a battery, a microprocessor, a pulverizer and a recipient. The recipient contains a liquid(it can be nicotine or other fragrant substances based on food additives) which reproduces the cigar smoke. The brands that sell this product describes it as a method to help smokers quit smoking. Some medical organizations even let the people understand that selling this product is as legitimate as the selling of nicotine substitute products (e.g.: gums, pills and plasters).

Electronic cigar - unproven efficacy

In France, a first risk analysis has been developed. The conclusions are: electronic cigars may contain toxic substances, such as propylene glycol, an irritating solvent, which can be the cause of epileptic attacks.

Conclusions of using electronic cigars

The scientists have signaled the fact that using this product is not recommended for pregnant women because of its toxicity. For the moment, it is better to use the authorized nicotine substitutes if you want to quit smoking. But, before all, motivation and ambition are the two things that counts!
