Vitamins are really important for our health

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is good for the organism because is stimulates the activity of white blood cells, maintains the health of endothelial cells, regulates cell growth and division, and takes part in bone structuring.

You can find vitamin A in carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, liver, milk, mozzarella cheese etc.

The recommended daily dose is 900 micrograms for men and 700 micrograms for women.

Vitamin B

The B vitamins are group of eight vitamins. They are chemically distinct. They often happen to coexist in the same foods. Each of these vitamins has a specific name like: B1, B2, B3, B4 etc.

The B vitamins are good for the organism because they sustain healthy skin, support metabolism, enhance immune system function, maintain muscle tone, regulate cell growth and division etc.

You can find vitamin B in asparagus (vitamin B1), whole grain products (vitamin B2), brown rise (vitamin B6), legumes (vitamin B9) etc.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is good for the organism because it helps it make collagen (which is important for healthy teeth, bones, blood vessels and gums), controls different infections and can neutralize dangerous free radicals.

You can find vitamin C in citrus fruit and juices, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, green and red peppers etc.

The recommended daily dose is 90 milligrams for men and 75 milligrams for women.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is good for the organism because it helps the body to absorb and retain calcium. Vitamin D can also increase muscle and bone strength and decrease the risk of fractures.

You can find vitamin D in salmon fish, fortified foods and vitamin supplements. It is hard to be found in natural foods.

The recommended daily dose is 600 IU. Be careful and never overdose with vitamin D, because it can be toxic in high doses.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is good for the organism because it helps in making the 13 proteins needed for blood clotting.

You can find vitamin K in kale, collard, broccoli, parsley etc.

The recommended daily dose is 120 micrograms for men and 90 micrograms for women.

Vitamins have a crucial role for our health so don’t ignore their importance.
